EMPATHY is a bridge to compassion. It’s the act of connecting with our own emotions to gain perspective from another’s point of view.
To avow one’s self as “too empathetic” and emotionally exhausted by the burden is a strained ego, ruled by an under developed emotional intelligence.
We shouldn’t give up our willingness to understand others from their point of view. We should learn how to regulate that moment of feeling for others so that we stay effective and productive after making those momentary connections.
